The GlobalTape Forum (GTF) and the Global Test MethodsCommittee (GTMC) are professional activities jointly initiated and widely participated by the international adhesive tape industry. The aim is to harmonize pressure sensitive tape testing methods, to understand environmental regulations and trends in various associations, to provide statistical information on product data according to the same tape classification, and to share public plans for annual educational activities. Its mission is to promote the development of the pressure-sensitive tape industry worldwide and enable associations to provide more value-added services to their members.
It has been held four times so far. The first conference was held in May 2009 in Orlando, USA, with participants from the duct tape industry associations in Europe, USA, China and Taiwan. The second conference was held in Stockholm, Sweden, in October 2010, with participants from the tape industry associations in Europe, the United States, Japan, China and Taiwan. The third conference was held in Taipei, Taiwan in November 2012. The participants were: tape industry associations from Europe, the United States, Japan, China and Taiwan, German consulting companies, representatives from India, etc. The fourth conference was held in May 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, with participants from the duct tape industry associations in Europe, USA, Japan, China and Taiwan.
The 5th Global Tape Forum and Global Tape Testing Methodology Conference will be held in Beijing on May 17-20, 2016, organized by China Adhesive and Adhesive Tape Industry Association.
